First Things First
A large number of people in our society are living below the poverty line. There they are deprived of almost all the entitlements of fundamental rights.
With a little cooperation from the wealthy, it is possible to improve the socio-economic conditions of the deprived population to some extent. As the best creatures created by Allah Subhanahu Ta’ala We have a responsibility and a duty to do something for these neglected people. Due to this sense of responsibility “Riyadul Muslimat” was established in 1990 by the Muslim women for the welfare of the neglected women and children of the society.
The journey of the organization started with the four children of the workers under the employment of founding president Nursia Haque. At the initial stage, she started her journey with Arabic and religious studies. Gradually she progressed through her talent, labor and interest; was able to increase the number of students. During this time honoring the sentiments of Nursia Haque towards the needy and orphaned children as a tribute to her tireless work four more intelligent, prudent and hardworking women associated themselves with this noble work of hers. They are Shahina Parveen, Rozi Hossain, Shahana Rezwan and Roshan Ara Begum.
Later, when the membership and number of students of the institute started to increase, it was shifted to a rented house in Lalmatia. At one point, the organization bought a land of its own in Adabor area with the cooperation of all and over time constructed a five-storey building there. Currently, all the activities of Riyadul Muslimat are conducted in its own five-storey building.

- To help destitute women and children become socially and economically self-reliant

- Provision of free madrasas and schools for poor children
- To provide vocational training to unemployed destitute girl children and women
- Publish magazines aimed at introducing women to the artistic and literary circles
- To provide rehabilitation of oppressed women and helpless children and victims of natural calamities
- Establishing an orphanage for orphan girls
- Taking action to ensure good sanitation and clean water
All pre-planned activities are implemented by the respected members of the organization and paid workers in its own building of Riyadul Muslimat located at Adabar-10.
